Beaver Scouts (6-8)

Our Beavers meet on Wednesday evenings, have lots of fun playing games and earn badges. They also take part in Scout Group events and sometimes have days out.

When we meet:

  • Wednesdays: 6pm – 7pm Term Time

Although we try to arrive before the meeting start time, we cannot guarantee being there early so please ensure a Leader is present before you leave your child.

As a uniformed organisation, we wear uniform at all meetings other than in exceptional circumstances. You would not be expected to buy uniform immediately, but we would expect you to have bought it within a couple of months of joining. Uniform means trousers and jumper. Only official Scout Association uniform may be worn – and not items that may look similar to it. We present new members with a Group Scarf and woggle. 8th West Wickham Group t-shirts may be worn in warmer weather.

Uniform can be obtained from a number of District Scout Shops around Bromley. A full listing of the district shops can be found here.

Church Parade

We attend Church Parade at the Methodist Church in Hawes Lane where we hold our regular meetings. This is a special family service and parents are welcome to also attend. The services are usually Sundays 10.15am – 11.30am.

The Beaver Promise

“I promise to do my best to be kind and helpful and to love God”

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
